"I wouldn’t be where I am without her" -Abigael M N

I met Professor Merton my first week at Pace Law. I asked if I could volunteer for the clinic. She dismissed me and said I could work at the clinic as a 3L. After a week of asking her she finally said yes. She went on to be a great inspiration and teacher to me. She wrote all my recommendation letters, she sent me internships she thought I should apply for, and scholarships. She helped start my career and I wouldn’t be where I am without her. The last thing she said to me was “Never forget to fight for justice and humanity - it doesn’t matter where we are born, we are all human and we all deserve to be treated fairly and with kindness.” She will be missed and I thank her for everything she did for me and other students.
